Some patients need a bit of help to get through their dental appointment. There are many reasons for this, including nervousness or very long procedures. We have two options to help keep you comfortable in the dental chair.
Your health and safety are important to us! A consult with your dentist to find out what type of sedation is best for you is required prior to booking any treatment. Ask us what we can do for you!
Is a very safe, mild sedative. Will not force you to fall asleep, but is designed to make you feel a little more comfortable. Available for adults and children. Completely reversible. You do not need an escort to your appointment and you can drive safely afterwards.
In order to ensure your safety, please follow these instructions:
You must be able to breath in and out through your nose during the appointment. If you feel like you are developing sinus congestion, please call to reschedule your visit.
Stronger than nitrous oxide but will not force you into sleep (although most patients do fall asleep), moderate sedation produces sleepiness and relieves nervousness. Most patients also have no memory of their appointment. This sedative is administered as oral tablets or liquid, and may be combined with nitrous oxide gas. Available for adults and children.
In order to ensure your safety, please follow these instructions:
You must bring your medication with you to your appointment.
Patients will be legally impaired for up to 18 hours following treatment. Do not drive, operate any machinery, or sign any legal documents. It is also strongly suggested to avoid posting on social media.
All patients must be brought to and from their appointment by a trusted adult. Office staff cannot allow you to go home in a cab.
You may be quite sleepy or feel "out of it" following your appointment! Please plan on a quiet relaxing day or evening at home.
